Professor Emerita Lynne Parker was awarded the 2023 Computing Research Association Distinguished Service Award at the CRA Conference July 23–25 in Snowbird, Utah.
Parker was chosen for her “unparalleled impact on the computing research community.” In bestowing Parker with the honor, the CRA said, “Parker has displayed strategic vision, dedication, and forward-looking perspective while leading the nation’s strategic approach to AI research, workforce development, and infrastructure.”
Parker, a former associate vice chancellor and director of the AI Tennessee Initiative, announced her retirement in May after 22 years at UT.
