Biography
Adam Disney is a lecturer in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He received his GED in 2000 after dropping out of high school. In 2009, he was presented with the opportunity to attend Pellissippi State and became his family's first-generation college student. He later transferred to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he received his BS in Computer Science, Summa Cum Laude. He continued his education at UT and received a PhD in Computer Science. He loves to teach and hopes to inspire others with his experience.
Before returning to UT as a lecturer, he was employed at Oak Ridge National Lab in the Technology Integration team as an HPC Storage Systems Engineer. He worked on High Performance Storage System (HPSS) and Lustre.
