Biography
Joshua Fagan is a lecturer in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT). He holds a BS from the University of Richmond, in Virginia, in computer science with a double major in mathematics, an MS in computer science from UT, and a PhD in computer science from UT. While he was a PhD student, Fagan worked in the Distributed Intelligence Lab on Human-Robot Collaboration research. He also enjoyed teaching for the Computer Science department and for the Engineering Fundamentals department at UT. Additionally, he worked on a combination of machine learning and robotics projects at the National Transportation Research Center (internship) and the Army Research Lab (internship). Afterwards, he joined UT as a lecturer.
His teaching interests include using technology to improve distance learning experiences and developing real-world, hands-on projects that inspire curiosity and creativity.
