We are currently seeking a paid research assistant to join our ongoing research project on large language model for academic literature reader. In this project, we will apply machine learning techniques to collect and classify experimental results (for example superconducting Tc) in published journal papers via Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and large language model (LLM). We will exploit techniques from self-supervised and transfer learning. High-performance GPU workstations will be provided, with access to large-scale GPU clusters if needed. We have allocated funds to support the project’s duration, offering a rate of $20 to 25 per hour. And this project will lead to future publications.
Responsibilities
As a research assistant, you will work closely with Louis Primeau and Dr. Yang Zhang for the optimization of OCR and LLM workflow.
Required Qualifications
- Python programming skills, preferably with experience on machine learning (OCR or LLM)
- Linux server management and programing
