Biography

Rodrigo Castellanos headshot

Rodrigo Castellanos joined the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2024 as an assistant professor. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher with The University of Texas at Austin (2020–2021) and North Carolina State University (2021–2024). During the summers of 2017 and 2019, he was a research intern at Qualcomm Flarion Technologies, Bridgewater, NJ, USA and at Nokia Networks, Naperville, IL, United States, respectively. His research interests include massive MIMO, near-field communication, antenna theory, exposure-constrained communication, and signal processing. He co-authored a paper that won the 2022 Fred W. Ellersick MILCOM Best Paper Award and the 2022 Vanu Bose Best Paper Award.
