Jinyuan Sun received the BSc degree in computer information systems from Beijing Information Technology Institute, China, in 2003, the MASc degree in computer networks from Ryerson University, Canada, in 2005, and the PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Florida, in 2010. She was a Network Test Developer at RuggedCom Inc., Ontario, Canada, 2005-2006. She has been serving as faculty in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, since August 2010 when she began as an assistant professor.
