Biography

Rakshith Saligram headshot

Rakshith Saligram is an Assistant Professor in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, India, and his MS Honors in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, United States. He completed his PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, U.S. 

Before pursuing his PhD, Saligram worked as a Graphics Hardware Engineer at Intel Corporation. During his doctoral studies, he interned as a Research Intern at Arm Inc and IMEC Nanoelectronics Design Center. His current research interests include Cryogenic CMOS, Heterogeneous Integration, Low Power Digital and Mixed Signal Circuit Design, and Quantum Interface Circuits. Saligram has received multiple internal recognitions at Intel Corporation, the 2020 GT-ORNL seed research grant, was a finalist in the 2022 Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship Award, and won the 2024 DAC PhD Forum Award.
